Founders First CDC and the “Clydesdale Community Leadership Program” is proud to collaborate with Rhymes with Reason to launch the “Young CEO” Playlist for 5th graders around the country. Our inaugural cohort started at the Monarch School in San Diego, CA and was a huge success even in the midst of a pandemic!
Founders First CDC is a Black-lead 501-C3 founded by Mrs. Kim Folsom in 2015 that aims to empower diverse founder-led, revenue-generating small businesses. Founders First serves as a catalyst for positive change to entrepreneurs of color, underserved communities, marginalized groups and female founders in order to become leading employers in their communities.
Founders First’s programs guide business owners through the process of achieving accelerated growth through curriculum, hands-on assignments, and expert coaching.
This includes an intensive transformational growth program and access to new small business contracts with corporations and government organizations to help support the growth of local diverse founded small businesses across the nation.
This groundbreaking partnership will expose 5th grade students to entrepreneurial concepts and financial terminology through vocabulary found in popular music. With the Young CEO Playlist students receive an inclusive, engaging introductory understanding about the keys to starting and maintaining a business.
Students who excel in the Clydesdale workshop will be eligible to participate as Youth VIP judges in our FFCDC regional Challenge pitch competitions.
